Everytime I got an estimate they told me I needed the entire shell that would cost me almost $400.00 with labor included. I don’t know much about cars, but I’m not crazy. I started searching the internet for the glass and was shocked to see that I could purchase it on Amazon. I love Amazon anyway and have purchased many other items here. The glass was $9.81 and eligible for Super Saver shipping. So I purchase a movie also. Mirror came with instructions. The longest time to install was removing the cracked pieces. I am so pleased. My mirror got fixed for $9.81!

I was really thrilled to find this type of product – and sold by such a reputed vendor as Amazon itself. So far I’d been unsuccessful in finding the glass only; most vendors sell the entire mirror, which can cost substantially more than the glass alone. It is also wasteful to get the complete mirror assembly, when all you have is a cracked glass!
The reason I’m not giving this product five stars is because, despite following the instructions and taping the new glass atop the old one with the included tape, these are not good enough to hold the glass after a while. Thankfully I was able to notice the glass was loose and picked it up before losing it to a road pothole. Other than that, a great product!
