My 2000 Toyota Camry is making a deep groaning sound when accelerating, specially in middle RPM’s. It appears to get louder if I drive it longer. It by no means used to be this loud up right up until lately. Any tips if this could be significant or what it could be?

Could be that you are running reduced on transmission fluid. Or that your fan belt requirements to be repaired, but that’d be more linked with a substantial pitched sound.
Anyway, yeah, I feel you’re out of transmission fluid.

does it appear to be connected to engine speed? or the speed of the car?
if engine speed connected it could be a waterpump bearing or a timing belt idler. if vehicle speed related, it would be a frt axle bearing—try turning and shifting the weight to the left and rt although driving get louder? or quieter? any play in the wheels? the 4 cylinder has a separate differential fluid chamber–is there fluid in the differential?–it difficult to check with out a hoist as the fill plug is on the back cover and most oil adjust locations neglect to verify the degree. It could be significant, so dont delay acquiring it checked..the side of the highway is not in which you want to have to perform on your auto. very good luck. T&T

out of tranmisson fluid or you have alot of miles or fan belts
Have an experienced driver or mechanic test drive it,can be a lot of things.Do not fix car by speculation,it is costly and more problem like open up a can of worms. The sound has to be heard and felt.
Could be serious. Take it to a trusted mechanic.
